Zeitvertreib

Wild animals and the Pirates of Eckernförde

Well, again, it’s already quite a while since I last wrote down the ‘news’ of my life. I always have to wait for such a long time because my life here in Germany was so far… well, boring is not the right word…but it is for sure that it is not as interesting as life in Dublin was. However, I guess I can’t compare them with each other and I’m certain that, once back to ‘normal’ life, it will improve a lot and I will have loads of things to tell you.

But until then I need to bore you with the things that happen to me day in and day out. Though it is quite surprising: Every day when I lie in my bed it’s always a bit strange how quickly the day has passed by but when I have to think of something to write in this wonderful blog my mind suddenly goes blank.

Nevertheless, there is a reason why I’m writing now. I wanted to let you know about me and my life before I’ll take my departure to the southern part of Germany. On Friday night I will leave the northern regions and will head to Freiburg. Well, it’ll only be for a week and I’m not very eager to go yet but there’s a ‘quest’ waiting for me there: I need to find a new flat. A sweetheart as he is, my brother will go with me which implies that we’ll go by car. On the one hand this is so much cheaper for me than to go by train (which apparently is a quite dangerous thing to do at the moment in Germany anyway) and I guess it’ll be a lot more fun than to go there alone though , surprisingly, I still have some friends down there but my best friend and some others will have there final exams while I’m there. So, unfortunately, until they got that over with they won’t have much time for me. And I do know me quite well by now, I’m sure that I would lose my enthusiasm about finding a flat on the very first day…!

The happiness of the unemployed

me again - trendy, huh?! ;-) some tasty moccacinos...

Well, to be honest, it’s not only the happiness but also the laziness of the unemployed :D. Okay, a short explanation: After four weeks of hard work I’m finally ‘free’ again, Friday, 04/08/06, was my last working day. I mean, on the one hand it is really not good at all because I earned an awful lot of money there and four additional weeks would have been very good for my wallet but on the other hand it’s a great feeling especially after four weeks of getting up at 4 am since they gave me the early shift every f*** week. However, what to do now with all the rather unexpected free time?! Hm, that’s a good question… to be honest I don’t have a clue yet but I guess I’ll easily find something (most of the things will probably be complete nonsense and totally unimportant but well… :P ).

Since nothing much has happened since the last entry I wonder what to write about without being boring like hell. I guess I should only tell you all the news (what can be done very quickly) and afterwards shut up and wait for more interesting stuff to happen.

Welcome ‘home’

and another flag of Germany another flag of Schleswig-Holstein
Hey everybody,

well, as I promised … I am back and the next thing I promised … in English! I hope that my English is not as terrible as I always imagine it to be ;-) .

However, how to start?! I’m back in Germany for quite a while already (in fact I’m already back to work as well :-( !) but nothing much has happened so far! The first couple of days were rather difficult for me - at least emotionally (there won’t be any complains about the weather which is absolutely great, in case you don’t have to work)!
It may be best to start at the very beginning where the beginning of my time in Germany actually starts already with my last day in Dublin! Tuesday, 04/07/2006, the day X, the day I had to leave… ! Well, by now I’m able to see all that a bit more relaxed but that day was really very horrible. We spent the Monday night at the Pav which means that I arrived at home quite late so that the guys were already in bed. I only had a sweet note in front of my room saying that they’ll say goodbye to me in the morning…
