Everything and nothing
Believe it or not but, yeah, I’m still alive
! For those of you who really have a look at this page every now and then: I’m very sorry that I kept you waiting for such a long time! For others who don’t know this page yet and kind of came across it by accident: Be welcome and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the posts.
As you might guess, there’s quite a lot of stuff that happened in the meantime. To give you a short summary: I spent a few days in Dublin and from there I immediately moved back to Freiburg. University started again only a few days after my arrival and ever since I am very busy because I really decided on finally finishing all this university stuff as soon as possible.
Alright, I guess it would be a bit ridiculous to report on my holidays in Dublin etc in detail since it is already such a long time ago (in fact, sadly, it seems like ages…) and probably I’ve already forgotten most of what I experienced there. However, still, I would like to write at least some sentences about it because I had (again) such a great time over there and as many of you might imagine I went through about a million of different feelings there. Well, alright, maybe it is me being sentimental and all that stuff but, yeah I have to admit, many tears ran down my face when I had to leave Ireland again.
I had the slight hope that it wouldn’t affect me in such an extreme way since many of the friends I had over there were Sokrates students as well…which means that there were only a few souls left who I truly like. Well, sadly or fortunately (it can be seen either way) I misjudged the situation completely. From the very minute my plane landed at Dublin airport it felt a bit like coming home and, even more surprisingly, Felix (who was so kind as to give me shelter at his place while I was staying over there) already waited at the airport
.
However, probably the greatest thing I experienced in Dublin was to meet my former flatmates again. We were invited to dinner at their place and it was just great (quite touching, in fact). It was as if I’ve never been away except the fact that Zuzana is now ‘occupying’ my room and that I had to leave the place again after dinner. But even the guys were there (they only seldom managed to be there for birthday dinners so that was really something special and it did mean an awful lot to me). We had so much fun and such a good time. But well, even good times have to end at some point
!
Hm, now that I think about my time in Dublin I realise that there really isn’t very much to tell. Apparently I didn’t do many great things but somehow everything I did (even tiny, unimportant things) were just … ach, simply indescribable.
Tja, and ever since, as I already mentioned above, I am more than busy. The time I spent in Ireland last year showed me that I should really start to get finished with my studies so that I will be free for anything I would like to do (realise the dreams so to speak
). That’s why I had to take some more courses than usual. I was really negatively surprised how many ‘Scheine’ (credits) I still need, especially in English whereas in History I could do my finals right now. Anyway, I know complaints won’t help so I just keep going but right now I could so do with holidays. Unfortunately, the first day of my holidays will be the 24th December
!
Well, everybody, I guess there is not much more to tell or to be precise there’s not much more to tell which is interesting or I simply forgot about it (Jesus, am I taking great things for granted??) …
That’s why I will stop it here and, instead, I will start a new post immediately when anything of any interest will come to my mind. Additionally, there is already another topic for a new post in my mind and I do hope that I will be able to write that very soon (next week, hopefully)!
Take care so long and be sure to hear from me again very soon
!
Hugs and kisses,
Steffi
